In its nearly nine-year career, the Nissan GT-R supercar has undergone many minor redesigns, and by the 2017 model year has undergone the most significant transformations since it entered the market, making its public debut in an updated guise at the international New York Bride Show in March 2016. The Japanese have improved their "brainchild" in five areas at once: exterior design, interior design, ride comfort, driving performance and modern multimedia technologies. Sales of the coupe, including on the Russian market, will start in the summer of 2016, but the acceptance of orders will be launched in May.
Refreshing the 2017 Nissan GT-R retains its outwardly assertive and brutal appearance, but adds more expression with a V-motion grille, revised head optics, more sculpted bumpers and handsome 20-inch forged aluminum wheels with 15 -spoke design.
As for dimensions, the restyled Nissan GT-R added only 40 mm in length, stretching to 4710 mm, while the rest of the characteristics remained the same: width - 1895 mm, height - 1370 mm, wheelbase - 2780 mm. Under the "belly" of the supercar, you can see a 105 mm clearance.
The interior of the G-T-Era of the 2017 model year has changed much more noticeably - it has been separated by a new architecture of the front panel, the number of switches has been minimized and the quality of finishing materials has been improved. From now on, the two-door decoration looks not only beautiful, but one can even say “premium” - a “chubby” multi-steering wheel with paddle shifters, a sporty designed “toolbox” and a fashionable center console, into which an 8-inch screen of the NissanConnect complex is embedded and a stylish “ control panel "climate system.
The cargo-and-passenger capabilities of the updated version of the Nissan GT-R remained at the same level: the interior decoration is organized according to the "2 + 2" scheme with magnificent front seats and "children's" rear seats, and the luggage compartment volume does not exceed 315 liters.
Specifications. The Japanese coupe has become prettier not only in terms of design, but also received a noticeable increase in power.
Under the hood of the restyled "G-T-era" is a V6 gasoline engine with an aluminum block of "pots", direct fuel injection, a tandem of turbochargers and a lubrication system with a "wet" sump, which, with a working volume of 3.8 liters, develops a herd of 573 "horses" at 6800 rpm. The motor generates a peak thrust of 633 Nm in a wide range - from 3300 to 5800 rpm.
There are no changes on other items - a 6-band "robot" with a pair of clutches and ATTESA-ETS all-wheel drive.
How the improvements to the contents of the engine compartment have affected the dynamic performance of the supercar has not yet been reported.
Structurally restyled Nissan GT-R is not much different from the pre-reform "brother": it is based on a PM platform with a steel body and an independent chassis "in a circle" with adaptive shock absorbers, an electric amplifier is implanted into the steering gear, and the braking system is endowed with powerful disc devices and in the front and in the back.
At the same time, the supercar acquired a more rigid body structure and a suspension reconfigured for the sake of a smooth ride.
Options and prices. In the Russian market, the modernized version of the 2016 Nissan GT-R is sold in the Black Edition and Prestige versions at a price of 6,699 thousand rubles for the initial configuration.
As a standard, the supercar "flaunts" front and side airbags, a premium Bose audio system, leather interior trim, dual-zone "climate", 20-inch wheel disks, an infotainment system with an 8-inch monitor, full LED optics, Bilstein adaptive shock absorbers, "Cruise" and a rear-view camera. In addition, in the "state" the car has ABS, sports dynamic stabilization technology, Brembo brakes and a bunch of other relevant "gadgets".
For the "top" version of the Prestige you will have to pay from 6 799 thousand rubles, and its features are more "relaxed" chairs and the ability to choose the color of interior decoration (black, red, brown, ivory).
